NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE - Only a handful of these micro pods were ever built. We are a UK first in converting ours into a video guestbook pod. Yes, we did the build ourselves!
Private Recording Area - No more shouting over the DJ’s music at an iPad on legs! Our video pod allows for complete privacy when leaving messages for the happy couple.
4k filming - Our video pod is super spec’d as you’d expect! A Sony mirrorless camera paired with a 14mm G Master lens. Oh, and there’s also a 32inch screen inside…….Boom!
Broadcast Grade Audio Recording - Audio is just as important as the visuals. We’ve gone big with a broadcast grade Rode inbuilt microphone.
Completely OFF GRID - quite simply put, our pod runs independently and does not require a venues power supply. We chose to go down this route so we can get to those scenic hard to reach areas without being a power-zapping burden. Or a trip hazard!!
Online Delivery of Film - Included in any package - We will edit and deliver a short film of the video messages left which will be hosted on our usual private online portal. How’s that?

Our stunning teardrop caravan has been with us since new, accompanying our family on countless camping adventures. For years, we’ve wondered how to integrate it into the Rewind the Day business. In early 2024, inspiration struck, sparked by couples frequently asking if we offered guest message recordings. While we loved the idea, capturing these messages during a wedding day proved challenging—many guests shy away from the camera or hesitate in the moment.
In late 2024, despite a busy wedding season backlog, we embarked on the journey to transform our caravan into something truly special. Since this pod required a completely custom design, we took on the challenge as a DIY project. Countless hours of research, designing, and honing new skills went into creating the video pod you see today.
As award-winning videographers, quality is paramount. We insisted that the pod produce content in stunning 4K—something far superior to the typical “iPad on a tripod” setups. We envisioned a cozy, private space where guests could comfortably record heartfelt messages, away from the noise and energy of the evening party, free from interruptions or self-consciousness.
Another key requirement was complete self-sufficiency. The pod runs on its own off-grid power system—no unsightly extension leads required! We’re thrilled to introduce the first of its kind in the UK: the RTD Video Pod.

Simply head to our contact us page and submit a booking enquiry selecting ‘Video Pod”.

Most importantly we will let you know if your chosen wedding date is available. We will then arrange a call/video call to discuss the logistics of your chosen venue and the access needs of our video pod. We will also liaise with your venue.

Our video pod opening time does not include set up. We will set our video pod up in our own time. Time stated is actual usable time. We will staff our video pod for the entire duration of the booking.

Footage taken from the usage of our video pod, will be edited and delivered within 2-3weeks of your big day. Guestbook messages will be pieced together and imperfections removed, to create a visually pleasing film. We will deliver this via our private online platform. This is accessible across all devices (phones / tablets / smart tv’s and laptops), and can be shared instantly with anyone in the world.
