Niall & Janie’s Epic Festival Wedding at the Reid Rooms Meadow Pavilion
Every so often, a wedding comes along that completely breaks the mould and Niall and Janie’s incredible day, lovingly dubbed “Byrnestock,” did exactly that.
Set just on the outskirts of The Reid Rooms, in the gorgeous Dunmow countryside, this wedding took place in a private field that had been freshly mowed especially for the occasion. A blank canvas with free rein to dream BIG, and dream they did. Niall and Janie took this untouched slice of Essex farmland and transformed it into their own personal festival of love.
Styled like a rustic music festival, Byrnestock wasn’t your average wedding: it was a full-blown celebration of life, laughter, and loud music. With stretch tents, fairy lights, and guests encouraged to add a touch of wellie-glam to their outfits, the festival vibes were strong from the very start.
Janie arrived in style across the open field in a beautiful vintage camper van, flanked by her bridesmaids and her lovely mum. Clutched in her hands was a touching tribute to her late father, a sentimental teddy bear that added an emotional depth to her entrance. The ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by nature and good energy, with the soft breeze and golden sunlight wrapping around the couple and their guests.
The vibes stayed festival-style throughout, with a confetti aisle walk and Viking horn cup cheers in honour of Niall’s Norse-loving spirit. Guests grabbed fish and chips (complete with mushy peas or curry sauce, your choice!) and gathered at communal tables to laugh, chat, and soak up the Essex countryside.
Axe throwing added an unexpected twist to the afternoon (yes, we had a go too!), and the speeches were nothing short of legendary. Tears flowed during Janie’s mum’s heartfelt words, and the best man brought the laughs with a poetic tribute that hit every emotional note.
Instead of a traditional cake cutting? The couple unveiled an enormous Cornish pasty disguising as a wedding cake, a nod to Niall’s family roots. Peak Byrnestock. Absolute genius. And just when you thought it couldn’t get more cinematic. Cue the raincloud. A brief shower graced the day but left behind something unforgettable: a double rainbow, arcing over the couple as they celebrated with their loved ones. It felt like the sky was joining in the celebration.
As the sun dipped below the trees lining The Reid Rooms fields, the night exploded into live music with an epic set from Beautiful Dangerous. The stage complete with a life-sized Lemmy Kilmister looking on, was soon taken over by mosh pits, crowd-surfing, and high-octane love. Niall, frontman of a heavy metal band himself, naturally found his way into the spotlight (and the air) more than once.
Byrnestock wasn’t just a wedding. It was a wild, heartfelt, unapologetically personal celebration of everything that makes Niall and Janie so special. Bold, full of soul, and bursting with joy.
For us as videographers, this was one for the books. Shooting in a beautiful location beside The Reid Rooms, capturing every unscripted moment of madness and magic. It’s the kind of wedding we live for.
